KENTWOOD, August 15, 2024 — Pioneer Construction proudly participated in MIOSHA’s 19th annual Take a Stand Day by hosting a Safety Stand-Down at our Fox Ford jobsite. This year’s focus was on the critical issue of “Struck-By” hazards, a leading cause of injuries on construction sites.
Our commitment to safety was front and center as we joined the statewide effort led by the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) to promote workplace safety. During the stand-down, our team paused to engage in an in-depth discussion on how to identify, avoid, and mitigate struck-by hazards.
Struck-by incidents are the number one cause of nonfatal injuries in construction and the leading cause of death among heavy and civil construction workers.
Pioneer Construction remains dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, ensuring that our job sites are not just productive but also safe for everyone involved. As we continue to lead by example in the construction industry, events like this stand-down serve as a reminder that safety is a shared responsibility, and together, we can prevent accidents before they happen.
