Courtyard Marriott

The  Courtyard Marriott, located in Downtown Grand Rapids, is over 20 years old with little renovation done to the property during this time period. The Marriott Corporation design team recommended a complete demolition of the lobby, restaurant and offices on the main floor with major changes to the interior.  They also added to the renovation the second floor concourse of the facility, which increased the complexity of the renovation as this was a major entrance port into the hotel from the parking ramp. In addition, the hotel remained open during construction.
