Mika Meyers Beckett & Jones Office Buildout

The Boardwalk is a large scale renovation of a furniture factory built in the late 1800’s.  In 1999, Tom Beckering, past owner of Pioneer Construction, had a vision that would convert the existing building into a multi-use facility.  The primary design would include over 250 loft apartments, office space, upscale restaurant, and all the amenities that would serve the residents as well as those working within the building.  Work began in the fall of 1999 and was completed in the fall of 2001.  Since this project began, it has become a driving force behind the renovation of other facilities in the North Monroe Corridor.
