GVSU Richard M. DeVos Center
The Richard M. DeVos Center opened in 2000 and houses the Seidman School of Business, the International Trade Institute, and the Steelcase Graduate Library. This 256,000 square-foot building includes 18 general use classrooms, six case rooms, two lecture halls, a 230-seat auditorium, seven computer teaching labs, three live video classrooms, and more than 250 new faculty offices.
Also part of the $42.5 million complex, located at 401 W Fulton in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is the Beckering Family Carillon Tower. This new Grand Rapids landmark stands over 151 feet above street level and houses 48 imported bronze bells, the largest of which weighs 4,310 pounds and is nearly five feet in diameter.
